I'm looking at buying a Daily Driver soon. Looking at new cars (I am tired of used old cars lol) and just want great MPG + Reliability. I already have a sports car, so no need to worry about fastness.

I have been looking at the Honda Civic LX, Corrolla, and the Sentra. Currently I am leaning towards the Civic, but what do you all think?

I would go with the Civic also... my brother just got an LX, and it's a pretty nice ride.

Definitely the civic. I like the way the corolla looks (sort of) but the civic drives really nice. Both the civic and the Mazda3 have a great compromise between handling and ride quality.

The civic has managed to slightly outclass it's competitors since the 80's....The newer ones follow this rule....just way more
    fun to drive.

Seems like everyone loves the civic. When I graduate I will definitely test drive one. Been looking at the LX and LX-S.

    fixed that for ya.

Both the Civic and Corolla are great cars. I personally would test drive both before making any decisions. I would never get a Sentra

Out of the ones you listed Civic. Out of its category, Mazda 3 hands down. Much better driver, better interior materials, excellently placed controls for everything and it looks better. The '08s can be had for a song and dance as dealers are trying to make room for the redesigned 09s (I was quoted 16.5 for a loaded Grand Touring w/o navi while shopping 2 weeks ago).

    Civic> Mazda 3> Sentra> Corrolla.

    In that order.

I'd get the corolla before the civic, because it's a damned nice car and you said you already have a sports car so theres no need in getting a civic (sort of a half way car). Both will probably be infinitely reliable but I think corolla's are just nicer/comfier and they don't have a jet fighter interior either.

I wouldn't touch a sentra with a ten foot pole in someone else's hands.

Some others suggest the mazda 3, good car.

the civic-even the SI- is not a sports car. the mazda 3 is the best car for the money and you get it all: GREAT looks, good perfomance all the way around, gas milage, and the hatch is just sexy.

The Corrolla is probably one of the lamest cars in production right now.
