I'm considering buying a honda civic, but I like to go on snowboarding trips, heh in the past I've gone in a 240sz =P But I'm wondering how safe it is to take a 2wd car in the snow or if it even matters, whats everyone's experiences?

I drove my old 2002 Civic LX on snow/ice once and as long as you take your time its FWD, its doable

its a honda.... it shouldn't go on the snow. But it's no less able than any "normal" car.

My Accord doesnt handle the snow for shit. The tail likes to swing but the Accord is a much bigger car.

Get studs and you'll be fine. Front wheel drives do well in the snow, as long as you have enough clearance. I've driven them through bad winters no problems.

As long as you have good tires, the civic will do fine on snow covered roads. Obviously it's no Jeep, but will get you to A to B with some common sense.

Any all season will do fine. But if you really want to be safe and assure that you will get where you need to on time, get snows. I have drove my Prelude thru a few winters here in Upstate NY and i can go where ever i need to.
