I want one for my 18-55 on the XTi. I've seen quite a few pictures in here with them and the difference in the sky shots and saturation are amazing. I will admit I haven't looked much anywhere, but the first result Google brings up is $74 at CompUSA. Someone has to be cheaper and who better to ask than OTAP?

A true statement, but won't make a difference on a kit lens...

But it's a UV Filter, he wants a circular polariser.

Yes I did spell polariser right, chuffing yanks.

I know. I'm just saying I got a good deal on mine on Amazon.com and that he should check there as well.

are there any downsides to buying hoya filters on ebay? i saw some that described them as NIB for 1/2 the price as B&H.

    anyone have experience?

avoid the green packaged one if possible, it is at the bottom of the quality line, the purple ones are ok if you are using it on a kit lense, and anything else up from there should be good :)
