Have you guys had any performance issues? I'm thinking of getting one and don't plan on multitasking ver much but I would like to watch the occasional video on it and I was wondering if the processor was up to the task.

Sure is. There are also ways to overclock very easily and ROMS without all the extra BS that may run a little faster.

I miss my 8125 already (had to give it back yesterday @ work  )

I just picked up the 8125, I'm having some trouble getting it to work with my wifi but that's not bugging me (yet)

What applications are a must have for this phone?

www.htcwizard.com/apps I think has some apps for free. Has a great battery meter thats very configurable. Also has the overclocking software.

I'd have been lost without weather panel and Egress newsreader as well. Nothing like the latest F1 headlines and up to the minute weather all on the today screen.

Also, look for wifi-fo-fum for wifi sniffing. You'll have to bit of hacking to enable wifi properly, check out howardforums.com in the pocketPC section for that info.

and the single best one, CLOSE ALL (found on the link above)

I got it from Cingular for $350 but there's also a $50 mail in rebate.

I had the same problem when I got mine...play with the settings for the network cards....there should be a drop down menu that say "connect to work" or "connect to internet"..select the internet option.
