    Is Chuck Liddell done?

Done, as in retires now or retires within the next couple fights.

Not yet, as in he can still make another run at the title or change weightclasses and make a run at the title at HW or something along those lines

38 is pretty old to relearn how to fight. He will never be a contender again.

Tigre's vagina is gonna explode when he sees this.

and chuck isnt retiring, he'll keep cashing a check for the next 2 years fighting 2 - 3 times a year.

I honestly dont think its the end of the road but I think he has one last shot and its a steep ass hill to climb since he has been getting exposed alot lately.

Chuck is a legend and will probably keep fighting even when he shouldn't.

I think he will fight once more...they might throw him someone like Houston Alexander. Then if he wins, he can fight Anderson Silva for a big payday. I see him losing that fight and retiring. If he magically wins, maybe we can see him fight Forrest or rematch Rashad, Wandy, or Rampage, but not for a title.

I can see him fighting until his contract is up and that's about it. He's done in terms of being a title contender. 1-3 in his last 4 fights doesn't help either

He won't retire. If the money was this good back when he was 30 he would retire but since hes making a million a fight and hasnt been paid like that very long he will fight a few more times.

Liddell's in Hughes' situation now. He's completely irrelevant to the LHW title now, but he could still have a few marquee matchups.

Yeah, he's done. His counter-punching style makes him the Matt Hughes of striking. Everyone's figured out what he can do, and fighters with a good gameplan can neutralize his power these days.

He'll be a nice 205 gatekeeper, but he'll never sniff a title again.

He hasnt learnt from his losses. If he doesnt adapt his game any 205er that can box a bit and has some power will knock him out.

It's crazy how only 2 years ago, Chuck was one of the most feared men in the LHW division and was considered almost unstoppable.

Just like how 3 years ago, Crocop was one of the most feared strikers in the HW division and now he's old and past his prime.

Man, things move lightning fast in the MMA world.

I thought this the other day too watching the fight. I knew Chuck was getting there, but I thought he'd be able to beat Rashad. I think with Chuck and well Crocop, they do what they know how to do, instead of switching it up every now and then. I say that like it's easy, but I mean going for a takendown, then feinting a takedown and an overhand or something, just anything. They become predictable, and you can find holes in their game. Crocop I don't think is as easy to read as say Chuck, but he has a fuck hard time with people circling and getting in close. They need to just evolve their styles a bit, even if it's just working on something new for a while.

I could be wrong they may already do this. Rashad was even improving his game, I don't see what's keeping Liddell from it, maybe he does do new stuff and I'm just ignorant of it. I've just never seen anything from Chuck that he hasn't already done before, recently.

I tend to agree. It just kinda seems as the sport evolves guys like Chuck just stick with what brought them to the show, and unfortunately that doesnt always work. His hands wide open defensive striking kinda thing will only work so long then people figure him out and work on every aspect of their game

He is not done. But he will not smell any title shot. He should just retire imo.

Once you hit 35, you age quickly. Not just in MMA, but in almost all sports.
