this is going to happen to all US manufacturers eventually
Well, Fiat is the shit, so hopefully things will work out in the end.
Fiat will make a buttload of money if they can hold on for the next 10 years.
yeah 22.1 billion is no biggie...
the pt cruiser is ugly.
canada has a 2% stake and the gov't has a 9% stake.... i still don't get that part
bye bye viper
agreed. i think we need to rely more on cars that serve a purpose rather than decide your status aka SUV's.
this is the US though so we know that won't happen. our opinions about people seem to stem from house/car. fuck morals and personality this nigga has an escalade!
Apparently Chrysler laid off its webmaster. The Crossfire hasn't been built since 2007, and its still on chrysler.com
Worked well for the Russians
uh wasn't it like 35% US and 12.5% Canada?
And as for the % stake.
US population: 304 million
Canada population: 33 million
The U.S. government holds an 8% stake and Canada a 2% share
People will do whatever the fuck they want.
For now, people believe they can't afford luxury items including SUVs. When the economy recovers, people will be back to buying the biggest/flashiest/most powerful of whatever is out there, whether its a house on wheels or a V12 sport sedan.
There's a sociological/biological imperative to outrank and outdo other human beings.
The Escalade is damn nice, and so is the Tesla. People should have the right to choose.
yeah but it seems to be more-so in america.
Its true in any economically competitive society.
The government also paid Fiat billions in our tax money to take Chrysler. They don't have to repay anything.
Won't happen to Ford
Can somebody tell me how many employees Chrysler has/had? I don't include dealership employees.
When I divide $22.1 billion by 30,000 (admittedly picked out of my ass) I get $736,666 per employee.
In protest to the Government and UAW fucking things over, I will no longer buy union made shit.
first ze germans, now the eye-ties
let the japs have a turn at buying chrysler so we can make sure all the axis powers get a chance
