Yeah the Narnia movie is definitely going to be the best movie left this year, I have no doubt about that. I'm incredibly excited. It also is looking like a pretty faithful adaptation of the book.

In addition to the trailer, I recommend checking out the featurettes they've been doing. The latest one is on the digital effects, and is really quite cool. This is looking like it's going to have some very impressive battle scenes.

Oh man. With only two months to go I don't know if they are cranking out new stuff or what, but my friend just e-mailed me about an interactive Narnia map that came out. Pretty cool, lets you click through and see a lot more about each of the locations in Narnia.

Yeah, I messed with that thing too. Right now I am on The Horse and His Boy. Third book of the Chronicles. Good stuff, good stuff.

I think if I ever have children, I will read them this collection.

I've read most the series well 5 out of 7. And this was the first one I read. And got me hooked on the rest as a kid. Though the Magicans Newphew is before this I can see why they choose to not make that into a movie  though I only read the first almost half of it. Other then that I believe they are all great. I just need to find the hmmm Silver Snake Chair one and read it. I got it somewhere :coolugh:

Loved the books when I was younger and if they did it right it will be a good adult-child movie that everyone can enjoy.

    Potter what?

Both Potter and Narnia are great series, but in my opinion, Potter is much more descriptive, which makes it appeal to the modern reader/child/adult. I really enjoyed all of the Narnia books, but when I compare them to the Potter series, they just can’t compete. I’m sure ever one has their own opinions, and that’s great, but just going on how long it took me to read each book, the Potter series were much more enjoyable.

Yeah, I see your point man. It is more detailed, just look at the length of each book. The book CS Lewis wrote was definitely for a young audience, seemed like a before bed book. But the way it was written makes it appeal to people my age, it is written in some really different style of English.

Anyway, I think the book was just called The Silver Chair.

Has anyone seen the new Narnia trailer that came out last Friday. I must have watched it 6 times straight last week. You get to see a lot of the creatures that they didn't show in the first trailer, plus you get to hear a lot of them talking (Liam Neeson as Aslan is interesting to hear). They probably have it all over by now, but I watched it here:

Some churches are showing Narnia before the film release date if you can't wait.
I still can't imagine Tilda as the queen.

Yeah the wolves look amazing, probably the best looking of all the CGI animals.

I've heard they were going to have some church screenings but I didn't know if it was segments of the movie or the whole thing. I'm on the lookout for midnight shows, but I wonder how many churches are going to get to see it?
