The d800 has the same size screen and wireless as well, no burner but I am actually planning on buying an external dvd writer for home that I can take to my residence whenever I need it.

I'm also considering the Toshiba Satelite 5200, its about $650 more but my Uncle works for Future Shop/Best Buy doing repairs for them so I'm gonna see if he can get a discount to bring the price down. The specs on that one are.

    P4M 2.2 Ghz
    Yamaha YMF753 16-Bit Stereo Sound
    External 3.5" 1.44MB Floppy Drive
    60GB 4200RPM (other laptops had 5400)
    DVD-RW Drive
    512 MB
    15 inch UXGA Superfine technology
    nVidia Geforce 4 Go 64MB FX5600 Graphics
    Harmon Kardon Stereo Speakers
    Remote for dvd etc.
The screen on this one is supposed to be absolutely amazing.

    Thanks guys :)

My aunt has a toshiba Sattelite kind of like the one you described (a little older, so not as fast and such, but same idea). It's really nice, I would recommend it on features and such, but I don't know about the reliablility.
