i don't have a sub, sorry if it's a repost but i didn't see it on any of the first 5 pages.

first of all, i love clive owen, he's an awesome actor. lionsgraphic included a review of the movie in his 5 mini reviews and i'll agree with him on everything he said. the film is a bleak outlook on man and weaves lil threads from present day situations (there's a homeland security for instance) and from the past that is reminiscent of nazi germany (always carry your papers, refugee/concentration camps, iron fist military). the thing that i loved was that it started out like an unraveled rope, that throughout the movie is woven back together, only frustratingly it's never finished, never burnt and sealed finish.

i'd give it a 9/10 all the way to the last 15 or 20 mins.

Very very good movie, some of those extended shots will become 'classics'

want to see it sooooooooo bad....I have no idea what is going on with the art theaters here, they are playing apocalypto/babel/other random non art films....very very strange.

Very well made, well directed and awesome cinematography.

I think it wouldn't, I believe life would become even more sacred.

    I saw it last night.

The ending was a little different, but it DEFINITELY leaves room for an amazing sequel!

just saw it, thought it was pretty good. was wondering a few things about it though, like why it only seems to be humans that are infertile. and why don't they just clone people? or is the problem women? maybe their eggs all died?

The one thing I hate about movies like this is that certain audience members have to ask what is happening in the film to others.
If they would listen instead of talking, they might figure the film out on their own.

Saw it last night and it was a great movie. There was a decent amount of action as well as some sarcastic comedy on occasion. I thought it was very well shot and the characters were pretty well developed. The development of Clive Owen into the hero was very well done, nothing seemed over the top. I'd recommend it.

the cinematography in that movie was just amazing.
Handheld shots and very well done long takes =

oooooh, and the one shot where Kee was framed through a window on a swing set while Theodore and Miriam were talking inside was awesome...

God damn it! The cinematography was stunning. That scene when he was coming down the stairs in front of the soldiers made me tear up.

The cinematography was excellent, but I didnt really like the movie a whole lot, too much "narrowly escaping death"

I got it before it was released in theatres. One week after it has been in the theatres, the DVD quality version came out. The Internets ftw

 Great screenplay and photography directing...I don't think i would like it as much if it ended differently.

thought it was a fantastic movie. grim outlook on what our future *could* end up like. cinematography was great and i hope it gets nominated for something. Clive Owen is shaping up to be a great actor.

Went last night, but unfortunately didn't get to see very much of it. The filming method was making my wife sick (she get's motion sickness very easy) and it was actually annoying me too. I'll check it out again when it hits dvd. We went into Blood Diamond instead.

I just saw this movie three hours ago - opening night in the cinema. Awesome movie, I really love the image of the future. Thought out to the very last detail. My only problem is the ending, they could have sealed it up so much more, it's like they just abandoned it halfway through.

some of the shots were nauseating due to the camera shake and could have been alternatively done with some sort of steady cam device. the movie was well done otherwise and i thoroughly enjoyed the story. This movie and the last movie I saw, apokalypto, were cinematographic masterpieces.

I went into the movie not having seen the trailer for it and was quite confused for the first 10 minutes. The story unfolded and I was quite taken by the absence of generic hollywood cliches and events. Children of men is original in sense that its story does not necessarily follow traditional sci-fi plots and was able to capture the audience within its story-telling.

Very good movie but i deem it a rental due to the fact that i do not see myself viewing the movie more than once on the small screen. watching it in a theater equipped with digial sound was a bonus.
