I'd rape pandas for talent like that.

I want to do canvas wraps of three of the skyline shots.

What did you shoot most of those with? Those are amazingly sharp.

    .

I live here and haven't seen the city like that, perfect example of why I love this city.

nice job on the skyline and calder shots. the distortion on the church shots are a bit distracting though.

Can't wait to pick me up a D300 and snap some pics at Millennium Park, since it's by my work.

After reading all the replies, i kinda feel like an asshole for posting this but...:

1 I like it, but it might work better in a higher contrast b&w.
2 not that impressive... i think it's hard to pick out a subject, so the eye just wanders.
3 Go wider, if you can, so you're not cutting off the bottom end of the church.
4 Come in tighter... 1st pair of windows and the doors, recompose lower to contain the steps... nah, scratch that, just crop the edges, so you don't lose the cross on the peak.
5 I like this one... too bad the skies were bland... overcast shooting ftl.
6 I like this one as well, but B&W may have worked a little better, bring out the scorch marks to bring some character to the subject.
7 More interesting than the previous street shot, and i like the higher contrast.
8 Trees murdering your angle :wtc:
    9 Me likey
10 same location, long exposure, at night/twilight... probably some epic lighting w/ the buildings in the background.
    11 :bigthumb:
12 What's it look like in color?
13-17 are full of win. 16 and 17 would probably look tight in black and white as well.
    18 snapshot. :hs:
    19
20 I like it, but the cab's out of focus
21 Either speed up the shutter to freeze the train, or slow it down 1/3-1 stop to catch more blur.
22 Buildings on the right and left are blown..
23 touch under exposed, but i like the composition and colors.
24 i'm not sure what i think of this one, but it feels a touch awkward.

I know this seems like a murderous cnc, but for the most part i really liked the set. 98% of these are far beyond what i'd put forward. Everything i mentioned was minor for the most part. Overall, good set

    7 18 24 blew me away.

7 is nice to see the trees perfectly fill in the empty space.

wow, this really made me laugh

yeah I'm still debating on which to put on canvas!! they are mostly all with my d700 and 14-24 or 28-70

    wow. thanks :bigok:

fair enough! distortion is a weird thing.

    thank you ;)

 nice! i had no idea you were from chicago!

Yeah, that was the one area i didn't shoot as much of as I wanted to, my gf was getting tired I think.

:werd: and they are saturated :eek3:

    :bigthumb:
don't feel bad, i'm always up for some C&C. you bring up some good points, i could find things that i don't like about every picture I take, but sometimes you just gotta let them go and enjoy the art :bigthumb:

    thanks man!
