I think its only in the 80-90's chev trucks, but what was the deal with the different models? like cheyenne, scottsdale, glenndale ect? were they just different trims or different engines?

my brother had a 79 chevy scottsdale, never heard of a glenndale tho.

i think the difference between the cheyenne and scottsdale was the trim package and interior. i could be wrong tho!

I have an 85 Custom Deluxe, longbed, standard cab. I dunno what the difference is either, mine has power windows/locks, other than that it's pretty standard w/ vinyl seats, etc.

In the 88-92 C/K trucks the model line went,
    Cheyenne - Base
Scottsdale - Mid range (not many were produced, relatively hard to find now)
    Silverado - High End

Then after 92 they dropped the slow selling Scottsdale, moved the cheyenne up a notch and added the stripper W/T work truck.

GMC followed along Chevys lines with the SL, SLX & SLE.

my 82 blazer is the silverado package.. not to sure what its all about.. maybe cuz it came with a diesel, rear power window, decent tires (back in 82) 2 tone paint etc.. my dad has an 81 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy.. its a Scottsdale K20 is whats on the side.. just like Clean971 said, "It was a standard cab with a 350 and an 8' bed. Pretty plain if you ask me." thats basically what his was too.. but it came factory with a sleeper over the bed.
