Do older modle chevy 350's use TTY head bolts?

30+ year old block, 4 bolt mains, 15 head bolts (IIRC). Google doesnt turn up any immediate answears.

Incase you are wondering why I am asking, we are tearing down an engine because we have chocolate milk for oil and the head bolts dont have TTY markings but one guy in our group says they are probably TTY (ford guy familure with newer ford small blocks, so...).

  2. No. To my knowledge they only started using them in the LS engines.

Got the answear in the main forum. Thanks though.

Modern Ford boys and their elastic bolts...

A gasket set and some oil flushing and we will be good to go. :coolugh:
