imagine how well this would do against the new stang, if tyhey put the ls2 in it and offered upgrades for it like they do with the cobalt...

Is that Chevy's attempt at designing a car with lines?

That would definitly be my next car if it came with LS2, 6 speed, and a strong rear end for under $35k

That is the shittiest ruining of a good name that I've seen since the 80s Nova.

    Fuck Chevy's design team.

that camaro concept looks 10x better than the new mustang.. im sorry but if you are so much of a ford fanboy to admit that simple fact then you should just end yourself...

ill give ford credit where credit is due, they made a nice looking retro styled sharp agressive looking vehicle.. but that camaro pictured is better looking hands down.

Don't worry. I'm sure Chevy will soon pull their head out of their ass to come out with a pretty kick-ass Camaro.

general motors makes tons of great vehicles for their respective classes.

and its only going to get better, as japans economy gets better and the weakening dollar impact global trade, japan wont get the same currency exchange rate when they bring their profits back.. they wont be able to sell their cars as cheap and chevy will have a better competitive edge.

the whole reason US cars have for the last 20 years been sub par against the japanese is because the dollar has been so strong they can produce cars dirt cheap and sell them cheap in america but when they change the currency from dollar into yen, they still make tons of money because the yen is weak.. just like you can buy shit dirt cheap in mexico because of the exchange rates.

no.. the CTS caddy sells for like 29k... im sure the camaro could sell for around 25-27 with a ls2, with an SS version selling around 30-32 with a v6 selling around 17-20 just like they used to.. and it would handle alot better to because the sigma platform would be body on frame, unlike the fbody that is subframe. since the sigma platform has already been developed they could sell the camaro cheaper because R&D would be hundreds of millions less than bringing an entirely new product to market..

i think GM needs to downsize and focus on rebuilding...

they need to kill about half of their models.. and focus on making the best cars they can. sure they might not be the biggest auto maker in the world anymore, but who cares? if they could cut the fat they would be profitable again, and offer much better choices, albiet fewer choices.

the sigma platform can be 2 or 4 door.. they have a short version of the platform they designed when they created the platform in the first place, they just never made a CTS coupe because the sales on the 4 door are so good they dont want to dilute the market with too many variances.

umm it takes radical thinking to get thru times when it seems like failiure is inevitable. if they can hit niche market segments with profitable vehicles that spawn interest in american made automobiles again, they will sell more of their other cars because of it..

the gto, while they might not be selling as many as they had hoped is still profitable.. they make a good bit of money off each one they sell. if they can focus on selling small amounts of highly profitable cars, the demand for their day to day cars like the impala/cobalt will increase.

What does the CTS have to do with anything? It's a V6 at that price level.

The Sigma platform is currently being held up by GM's financial woes. Don't expect to see it anytime soon carrying a Camaro body.

I disagree...They need to get back much of the market they lost to the japs with day to day cars.
