The new Equinox looks fucking sweet! I hate car-based SUVs normally, but this one is an exception. I can't wait for it to hit the dealers, I'll be in line to drive it. Anyone got big pics of it? I need 1024x768 for my desktop, but I can't find any.

That's the way alot of SUVs are now, car-based crap, but this one in no way resembles a minivan. I'd much rather have one of these than most other crap out there on the market like the Highlander or Escape.

BTW Thanks for the pics! :bigthumb:

Car based doesn't mean crap. Realize that SUVs, like pickups, are offered in a variety of designs for different purposes, not all of them are created to go "off-road". Quite a few of them, like the Equinox, a purely engineered to haul people in fair and foul weather.

If you're concerned about crawling over rocks, driving through deep mud, and that sort of thing, this is not your vehicle.

He is. The design is modern, tasteful, and the materials seem to be pretty good.

Dude, I'm sick of this "GM uses cheap plastic" crap! :nono: My Dodge Durango has the shittiest plastic in it that I've ever seen in a car. Ford, Chrysler and most other car companies use shitty plastic in their cars, not just GM. The plastic isn't shiny, it's the light in that pic that makes it look that way.

It's called a camera flash, it makes things look shinier than they relaly are. :slap:

It's not shiny in person, it looks pretty good. Perfect for people with small children.

It's replacing the Tracker, which is truck-based and actually a decent off-roader.

The new GM truck frontends are ugly. They had it right with their last design. Putting the Escalade front end on the Silverado =
