I posted a while back, I was the 400lb dude that had worked down to 375. Well, I'm at 370 now. Not as much progress as I'd like, but I've still lost inches, so I think it's more muscle mass.

I gave blood today and was actually astounded at my BP and heartrate, for a fat guy my BP was 112/78 and my resting heart rate was 70 bpm. That's amazing considering the amount of baggage I'm carrying around.

I've discovered a fondness for salads and have been drinking insane amounts of water and everything seems to be going A-ok.

Awesome, dude. Keep it up! How long is "a while back?" 30 lbs. sounds pretty good for a seemingly short period of time.

I was telling the guys here about the 3 month % weight loss challenge we have at work. Six guys threw $50 into a pot and the winner takes all.

One of my managers went Atkins and lost like 14lb in two weeks but he just plateaued like crazy and started to gain some weight back.

gj bro, contest aside you'll be happier losing it at a slower steady rate anyways. what's your exercise routine like?

Well, I do 1/2 hr of cardio every weekday after work.

My gym schedule's not as good as I'd like, thanks to the fact my roommate lost his license, and works where I do. Three out of five workdays a week I have to take him to work with me, the other three days our schedules are different, I go to the rec center and lift after work. I don't really know the technical names of the lifts yet, but I do a full body workout 3 days a week.

    Keep it up my friend.

Have you thought about a 5 or 6 day cardio regime? Just walking for 30-45 minutes every day will help that much more..

I don't see why we shouldn't be. At least he gets off his ass and makes the effort and it's working for him. :dunno:

And I know why it's working this time and it's failed so many times before.

This time I didn't go into it using the 'diet' word.

Honestly. At the beginning of the year I got on the scale and said it's time for a lifestyle change.

Let me tell you, when you decide to change your lifestyle and not go on a crash diet, the entire process changes mentally.

I think a big thing that's helping me is that I'll let myself break loose once or twice a week and cheat a bit. It doesn't matter if I eat a nice helping of pasta or go to hooters once in a while. It matters that I didn't go to McDonalds for lunch three days this week.

Some advice...find the nearest Whole Foods Market, or health food market place, and pickup some cleansing products/systems for colon, liver, intestine, etc.
