Very very impressive, and this coming from someone that didn't like it in pictures. Completely blows away the competition, even the F-150 (not hard to do honestly).

The truck looks good in person, not revolutionary, but good. More aggressive than the F-150. It also reeks of quality and attention to detail inside and out. Even the base "Classic American Truck" interior is shockingly nice, every bit as nice as my GTO. They even damped the most basic controls like the air vents and everything has a strong, tight fit.

They didnt' have any Denalis in stock otherwise I would have taken a peek. 403hp and six gears FTW.

I saw one the other day and it looks much better in person then in picutes, however the Silverado looks just as bad as it does in pictures I guess Chevy won with the Tahoe over the Yukon, but lost to the Sierra with the Silverado

I haven't seen one in person yet. I'm sure they'll be everywhere in another month or two.

It does need red interior lighting though, since Pontiac and GMC are merged into one brand now. I think the upcoming Acadia has red illumination.

When did Pontiac become just GMC? Or is it going to be the other way around?

The new Toyotas are the best looking trucks IMO.

It's been that way for awhile now.

GM is making all stand alone dealers add Pontiac or GMC so they end up selling both together. That way they can eliminate Pontiac "trucks" and the dealers will still have a line of cars and trucks to sell.

Pontiac has never had any trucks; only plastic-clad minivans and ugly crossovers.

And for the record, I really don't like the new Acadia either.

You showed pics of the Classic American Truck interior and its basic and bland.. its a shame you try to do car reviews and are biased against anything no GM.

My father was in town this past week and is in the market for a new vehicle. He's loved Navigators for a long time so we decided to check them out, especially since dealers are discounting brand new 06s over $10k off.

We drove an 06. It's fairly bland and cheap inside, and has a surprisingly jiggly ride on smooth roads. It also crashes over bumps. The vehicle is very slow and the engine sounds pained when you floor it. Basically it sucks ass even with a huge chunk off the sticker price.

We decided to take out an 07, which I think looks a bit better with the makeover. The interior design is a disaster. It looks like it was made in the late 1970s. It is still cheap inside, and you can see various screws, fasteners and waviness in the leather, especially on the headrests. All the same problems in the 06 are still present, though it rides slightly better. I also noted wind noise around the driver's side door where it's supposed to seal. I couldn't find a good driving position because the wheel is too close to the dash and doesn't telescope, it was like steering a bus. Everything about the Navigator is completely wrong. It was not luxurious at all, it was fucking miserable to drive and ride in.

We left extremely disappointed and with a better understanding of why nobody buys Lincolns and why Ford is in such a dire situation.

I passed a GMC dealer so we decided to take out an 07 Yukon Denali for giggles. It absolutely shames the Lincolns in every respect. It's like a car inside and out, a big car, but still just like driving a car. Every little detail is appealing, generally well-thought out and has a quality feel. The design inside and out is also pleasing and contemporary. The engine makes heavenly noises when pressed and begs for more, very LS2-like. It's the first Yukon ever that is actually worth the money GM asks for it.

One big problem with it though, the face of it is about as ugly as it gets with SUVs. For that reason he's looking at new Tahoes. Perhaps a Z71 with the delicious black and satin interior.

I bet they still use that puny nonboxed frame, and not even a full frame support around the engine still I bet. The style looks like the started with a F-150 and slapped some GMC badges on it. Interoir is still bland

lol. Go to www.gmc.com and check it out. it's a FULLY boxed frame... Claims to be stronger than any other truck on the market...

Check the tech info on it and see how it's better on paper. Then go check it out in person, and see how the fit and finish is phenominal.
