All I can say is the thing is gorgeous (sorry no pics. salesman would not let me). I have not fallen in love with a car so instantly since I first saw the e46 coupe. The lines are awesome. The car is simply beautiful yet aggressive looking. The interior is well organized, spacious, and luxurious. The only thing that bugs me are the huge side walls on the stock tires but I'm sure this is because the car is meant to cruise comfortably at high speeds. Although they are two totally different types of cars, I would seriously consider trading in the M3 for it. I would definately choose it over any car in it's class right now. Nice job Audi! :bigthumb:

That's weird the dealer wouldn't let you take pics. Is there a specific reason? I mean it's out and available, why would he care?

And yes, it's a sweet looking car.

Should go check it out tonight, as well as the Touareg. Seen a few cruising around.... they're utterly marvellous. Wow.

Haven't seen a new one, but the guy I work for has one, I believe it's a 97... Nice car.

I saw a new Volvo S80 the other day on my way home from vacation. Very nice, the new Volvos are very nice.

Yea, sounds like a dick. I guess they figure that young Asian guys don't buy A8's and old white guys do.

I remember the previous A8, and it wasn't an impressive car. Even the S8 was mediocre after test driving S-Classes and 7-Series with the sport package.

The new one looks incredible though, and I'm glad they didn't go completely nuts on the restyling and electronic gadgetry.

The new A8 is definitely a step in the right direction for Audi. The previous model, while visually blah, was definitely a contender, just not marketed enough. The unsung hero of its class, as much of Audi tends to be.

They're advertising the hell out of it. I've already seen a couple on the road. And we in America get the long wheelbase version! Hell yeah.

If/when they bring the S8 to our shores, will it be short wheelbase? One would think that the "sport" version of a car would be as light/nimble as possible.

I love the design, as well. I saw a couple at the autoshow (all behind a barrier :sad2: ) and I was awestruck. They had a bare aluminum spaceframe sitting there and even without any bodywork at all, it still looks beautiful.

I think the A8 while nice is still too bland for me.

I'd rather have an S-Class. The MB just seems to have a lot more presence.
