hey... im one of the 30,000 :)

Owners are building such “off-list” AR15 frames into legal, operational rifles that differ only from the legal generic assault weapon definition by the absence of a 99-cent plastic pistol grip.

thats right, i have an 18 dollar houge grip fucker!

Off-list AK47 receivers are being legally constructed into rapid-cycling non-semiautomatic rifles by making some minor parts changes.

    :mamoru:

whoever made this website needs to do his hw

well, they did their hw about the gun laws and the loophole, but they fail to understand how a gun operates. 1) you need a pistol grip to hold a detent pin in, and 2) its by having a fixed magazine is what makes this rifle compliant to what is not an AW

  8. Wouldn't this make all handguns illegal since they have pistol grips? The law doesn't say that it has to be on an AR/AK.

    and

I would interpret that as meaning any functioning AR/AK clone would be an assault weapon regardless of what kind of magazine it has. Personally I wouldn't risk it.

Actually PC 12276.1 applies to semiautomatic centerfire rifles with the capacity to accept detachable magazines.

That was the original intent of Kasler vs Lockyer, which was then superceded by Harrott vs King County so that the specific model has to be named.

actually, the person who constructed that website is a member on calguns who is trying to put pressure on Lockyer in order to list the lowers. He is also one of the few who has dedicated a lot of his own time and money into helping us out before it goes to legislation
