I've had zero feedback almost up until now, so be gentle.

Lots of plans for future development but I had to draw the line at some point and release a phase one.

Let me know if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the 1st website offering feature length movies to watch on the iphone, with no app required... It seamlessly launches the film, and when you're done it takes you back to the documentary page you were on.

The spinning navigation is cool but obscenely annoying when you try to click on something.

If someone knows flash better than me I'd like it to shrink or show a loader.gif once you click on a subject.. I think the hardest part is of using it is once you click it you have no confirmation and it takes a few second to flip to the subject you clicked.. so you keep clicking.. it's more a novelty since you can choose subjects from the top menu.

    nice looking site.

for someone with very limited web development knowledge.
how long do you think it would take me to build a site like that with drupal? is drupal hard to learn? for people who dont know shit like me, i heard wordpress is good.. but drupal can do more.

i know basic html.. that's about it :hsugh::wtc::wtc:

    Love the spinner
    Hate the physics of it

I also think the login/register links are in a wierd spot
almost seems like the search field is for login

You can do a LOT with drupal with nothing but HTML experience, it's really a good way to teach yourself PHP by slowly modifying existing modules until things just start to make sense on their own. Just watch a bunch of Drupal screencasts that are out there, that's all I did originally.

That never occurred to me.. good point. Not sure how I'll resolve that.

I'd say kill the spinner and just have an alphabetical list.

I like it, spinner is kinda of weird, do you have a tutorial on how to make the spinner, would be cool to use on a website with a logo in the middle of it and links spinning around the logo.

    thank you

It actually started as a wordpress plugin called cumulus, someone just turned it into a drupal module recently.. I modified the actionscript to get the pancake horizontal effect.

the book just explains how drupal works.. so you can get an understanding of how it functions... making ti easier to know what you are doing. I would recommend just installing drupal and playing around with it. It's a lot like wordpress in a sense that you can install modules, but if you really want to get into it pickup some php knowledge, or just play around with it until it works.

There are lots of us on here developing in it or learning it, and most of us would like to help eachother so give it a whirl. :wavey:

This video is great to get the ball rolling on the basics
    http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4310257/_Understanding_Drupal_-_Lullabot

Understanding theming from the very beginning is pretty important imo, this covers most of the basics
    http://blip.tv/file/1138781

From there just watch all of these videos
    http://www.mustardseedmedia.com/podcast/

    And all of these videos...

After that you should be a rockstar

Ok I think it's fixed.. I had it set to load google provided thumbnails for videos, in the event that a screenshot hadn't been provided when the video was added. Google didn't like that many image requests I think...
