Please understand that I am by no means a professional photographer I just enjoy snapping pics as a hobby. As such any suggestions that could improve my technique by some of the more seasoned OT photogs would be much appreciated.

These pics were all taken this weekend at various auto and manual settings, arpeture sizes and shutter speeds since I am still very much learning this particular camera. Unfortunately I didn't write down all of this info for each pic on this first test run, something I intend to do correctly the next time.

    Camera setup:
    Canon EOS 40D

Lens: Canon EF28-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM

    4GB SanDisk Extreme III CF.

Photos I took yesterday late afternoon :)

It'd help if you posted your favorites, and took photos of YOUR 40d, and not use stock photos.

The colors in the flowers really set it apart from the background.

#3 overall looks good to me too.

I notice that all your pics are centered. The horizon and subject are right in the middle. Learn the rule of thirds and it will make your images pop.

And as long as your exif stays in tact, you don't need to write down your info... The camera does that for you.
