Cheat meal. When's the best time to have it, on or off days?

    I've been doing it on off days but those are the days I try to eat 100 carbs or less and I generally go out for Pizza or have something else with a bunch of carbs in it.

    So is it better to have your cheat meal on a lifting/work out day when I have a greater amount of carbs or on an off day?

    Don't take this the wrong way, but if I looked like you I wouldn't be having any cheat meals. Stick to your diet and get down to 10-12% (your stated goal) as fast as you can...it's much easier to maintain low body fat than it is to get to low body fat, so cheating on your way down isn't the best idea.

    If you are going to have a cheat meal though, I'd do it on a day where you are expending a lot of calories, so do it on a leg or back day. Throw in some extra cardio to help offset it too.

    I take no offense, I know I need to loose a couple percentage points, but it's a long way from where I used to be.

    If I don't cheat every now and then I'll get sick of my diet. So I have to cheat at least one meal a week. Other than that I'm really good. I also do cardio M/F with my work outs and W, Sat, Sunday on my off days.

    the best time would be right before or after a strenuous workout.

    i usually do it on sunday... cant make gym on sat/sun so sun afternoon i go for a 5mile run in 40ish min, then do bodyweight stuff...
    that way i know my metablism will burn it off,
    and if it puts a few lbs on i can burn it off the next day at the gym...
