Cheat Day FTL

    Is there any reason other then to reward myself, to having a cheat day?

    I had 2 slices of pizza and a roast beef sub yesterday. First time in 3 weeks I ate anything bad. I was on the couch all day and still feel like shit a little today:wtc:

    Dieting has ruined me.

    I used to be able to eat an entire pizza and be fine. Now whenever I try that, I feel like ass for two days.

    You don't have to cheat but you need to have a refeed meal to your metabiolism guessing so it doesn't stop responding. No one says you have to eat bad though. You could just carbload with good carbs.

    I usually eat MORE of HEALTHY foods.

    LIke a second helping of chicken, or fish. :dunno:

    Me too now I guess. I had a 4 slices for myself I couldnt even get to the last ones.

    Cheat days are fantastic for your metabolism, but everyone is right: your cheat days should be calorie specific, not really fat specific. Don't go nuts eating buckets of sour cream and drinking half and half. Eat a higher-calorie meal, throw caution to the wind a bit, but don't go nuts. Personally, I use cheat days to eat what I want, but I also remember not to get so full I'm nauseous (so there's not much guilt in the coming days).

    I just really wanted a few slices of pizza and a sub. Half way through it I knew it was a mistake. Took me til now to start feeling clean again.

    I almost cheated with mcdonalds for my cheat meal on saturday.

    1 normal cheat meal a week will not have a determintal effect. My only problem is I cheat with wings and feel like crap afterwards because of the fat and grease. So for me it is more the hatred of being lazy afterwards.

    I do it because it keeps me sane and actually it has been proven that cheating will keep you more strict because if you just follow everything to a t with no variance you will get burnt out vs. if you know you have a meal that you can go crazy on you will look forward to that and use that as motivation.

    I do so good during then week then on Sat-Sun it's cheat like a fucker. Beers, chips, burgers, hotdogs, bacon. This shit has to stop.

    Yeah, that is the one really bad thing about dieting..... You want to cheat, and sometimes it is ok but when you do you feel like total shit.

    I have been pretty strict on my diet for a while now and last night I ate a thin crust California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizza and still feel it even the next morning.... So bloated.

    I used to be able to eat 2 of those things and then go the gym a few hours after.

    Regular soda or anything sugary gives me bloating, anything with grease goes right through me.

    I know. I was suppose to go out for a cheeseburger, and some nachos later for the sox game. I felt so gross from the first meal I never went
