Still can't decide between aimpoint or eotech, although i really like the new xps. Anyone have any tips or suggestions for picking out an optic? And wheres the cheapest place to buy one these days?

Used to have a link to a place that sold aimpoints with mounts for a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere else...can't find it now.

LaRue has probably the best price for Aimpoints with the mount combo. www.gandrtactical.com sells optics too and gives a discount to M4C members (he likes ADM mounts). Or you check eBay for seller Angula (aka www.smartgunner.com) and use the cashback option. I bought a T-1 last week with 20% cashback.

There's currently an "up to $150" rebate for eotech optics till the end of the year. $70, $50, and $30 depending on the product. The new xps series is supposed to be really nice compared to the older ones.

What kind of shooting do you do?

Eotech is fairly well known for having issues, mostly with batteries. They claim to fix them, they pop back up. Perhaps the latest round is different, but honestly I'd go with the an aimpoint. If I had the cash I'd be rocking a T-1 myself.

Can anyone tell me...do the new eotechs remember the brightness setting when you power them off then back on? Example, if I have it set on 5 when I turn it off, will it come back on at 5 or 1?

    OpticsPlanet.

Or ebay, using cash back, and buy from a reputable seller who has an e-bay store.
