1985 Cavalier Type 10 Hatchback. 2.0L 2bbl or 2.8 V6, loaded with stiff FE3 suspension, hatch creates more even f/r weight distribution.

Irocs were great until the LS1's came into play. They get owned pretty badly now.

I was thinking something stock, remeber I don't cra if I am in last place, just want to have cheap fun. My main theme is cheap upkeep. Cheap tires , parts , and so on. Keep the info flowing.

Believe it or not, there are tons of people out there who race Chevettes. Head to google and grab the first link that comes up.

Sounds good but I'm thinking something more easy to maint, and less speed.(I may be the only one on OT thats says this but I have had limited driving training (police academy) so I don't want to over extened myself. Remeber cheap fun. :) Love the input though.

You want a stock class car. Go to a autocross event and see what other cars everyone else is running. That way it will give you an idea of the competitive cars in each class.

And start saving up for tires. I was barely able to make it thru the season on two sets of kumhos :eek3:

Don't waste you money on that pile of shit. You want something that will begin to get competive as your driving skills advance. Also don't do any mods until you know the rules of the class you are in. Some little mod could take you from a stock to prepared class before you know it.
