[it's owned by 2 blue belts]

    it's only $20 a month 3 days a week lol...there's another one in town (brown belt)but it's about $80 a month, i can't afford that right now..

I did BJJ at joslins for a few months and loved it, but moved from that town so didn't want to drive an hour to train.

what are your thoughts about training with some blues?

Thats a really good price. A blue belt(esspeically ones that didn't just get theirs) will be able to teach exactly what the brown belt will. After about a year or so you will need to move to the brown belts school to keep progressing. But to start out its a great deal.

me and 3 other blue belts run the club on the University of Mississippi campus, we do fine teaching it.

dont even bother find a few freinds that are interested and buy some books and videos to get you started and just roll with them. Most of those instructional videos have more technique then you will learn in a month and you will always have it there for when ever you need it.

Theres a couple of blues at my gym that have 5-8 years experience, really tough guys. It really depends. I think you can learn the fundamentals from them as long as they are good instructors.

thats a really good price, just don't be surprised when you find out half the shit you learn is wrong and has holes in it. I would say definitely go for it to get the basic game down.

I have learned so much from my friend who runs our university's club. He's a purple belt now, but even two years ago he was a great instructor. I'd say if they're competent go for it. You really have nothing to lose except for a little money.

If it the only place around you got to do what you got to do. But I'ma firm advocate that 99% of the time you get what you pay for.

However if you are training for fun, and maybe a tournament or two from time to time, go for it. I know many blue belts that can kick major ass.
