Not that I would get it, but might be good for some: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...50532456664690

I think you can get this shipped to your nearest walmart store for free. Max recommended weight on this is 300lbs, so not for the extremely fat asses. i don't think the barbell is included though.

Its not for skinny people either. 300lb user weight includes your weight and the weight you're lifting. Thats a death trap.

This has been posted a bunch, I have one. It's not a bad setup for a beginner. The 300 lb max for the bench isn't right, the manual says 300 max for the uprights, I don't think it gives a max weight for the user. If the unit was welded together by someone that could do so it would handle more then 300. No it doesn't come with the bar. Also if you replace the cross bolt on the leg attachment you'll be able to get more then the 150 lbs on there. The length of the 1 inch to 2 inch adapter will handle 5 std 45 lb plates. If you have "strong" legs you'll max out the 150lb quickly. Ohh yeah, the angle of the leg attachment is straight, so you can easily hyper extend on leg curls. :(

The weight limit on benches has very little to do with the metal components. Its more geared for the particle board that supports the back and seat pad. Its a death trap.

The welding part I was refering too was about the 300 lb max on the uprights, it's all bolted together and flexes alot when you get near that 300 mark. The particle board backer on the bench does suck a fat one, if they used a boxed type thing instead of the one bar down the middle it would be a little better.

i think i'll buy it just for the preacher curl alone. it'll probably take me at most 2 months to max out the 300lbs on that.

maybe good for the environmentalists? gas to the gym will lead to global warming. can't have that now.

but seriously, it'd be nice to have a cheap home gym at home when i'm lazy to drive to the gym, especially since my bally's gym closes at 11pm, and 9pm on weekends. i rather pay double for a powerrack though. but for those new to lifting and/or on a budget, that walmart thing seems sufficient.

Max on the preacher curl is 150, a better cross bolt would let you do more.

all you needs a flat bench, something to hold the barbell while you bench it and then about 300lbs worth of steel. an ez curl bar.

you can substitute dumbells with concrete and milk cartons.

Not that anyone here gives a shit but the max USER weight is 300, max WEIGHT = 310, 610 total on the bench. The Leg/Preacher attachment max weight is 150. It's a double bar down the back of the board, not a single like a mentioned earlier.
