This convention center wants to charge us $150 to rent a 19" LCD for 2 days. Fuck that. Anyone got any deals where we can buy one and I can pack it in my suitcase? I already got one, but want to have two demos going.

I think newegg has a rosewell on rebate for like $80 off or so. Not sure how much it is, but I remember seeing it and being like wow. Maybe see if they have rebates from a slightly larger, yet equally shitty company. Might get the rebate sooner if at all.

Buy a good LCD on a payment plan, or on a credit card. Pay $150 a month. Get one with DVI and VGA connections. You won't profit, but you won't waste $150 on a shitty screen either.

He just needs it for a convention and is trying to not pay $150 fee for renting one.

I just need an analog for a convention. Digital would be useless, since I don't have extra PCs that can drive a digital LCD anyway. In fact... could I return the LCD to a retail store once the convention is over? Is that shady?

Very few stores will accept LCD returns unless they exceed the bad-pixel limit.

You don't have ANY computers that could use a decent LCD? Not even your MacBook in "docked" mode?

I don't want or need a 'decent' LCD. I have no use for one, and I can't afford one. I would rather spend that money on marketing to make more money than on a pwetty wittle scween.

I understand the idea of spending money to make money; I'm just saying, if you can't worm your way out of paying for a screen, at least get one worth keeping. You could use it as a digital picture frame, if nothing else.

Analog LCDs are fine. They are definately worth keeping.

If you buy it at Costco, you could return it.

Whats your business....just out of curiousity.

If you've got any friends, family or co-workers with one, ask to borrow it for the weekend or however long you need it. Then you wouldn't waste any money. I've got a 17" you could borrow if I knew ya....

I pulled this shit dozens of times with dozens of products. Buy it from a big retail chain (Best Buy) and nobody will give a shit when you return it. Its satisfaction guaranteed.
