Need to change video format from a MVI to mpeg or something in order to email it. How do I go about this. Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of a MVI
do you mean MOV? In which case, use TMPGEnc and you'll need the Quicktime (MOV) plugin for it http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools?tool=277

You can still email the MOV, but the other person will need to have Quicktime installed.

Its just a sort 30 sec video clip I took using my digital camera. Comes up as MVI but maybe an AVI file. When trying to email it I get this error:

One or more of the attachments (April 6, 2004 mvi004.AVI) are on
the list of unacceptable attachments for this site and will not have
    been delivered.

    Thanks again for your help.

Ah ok, the MVI is just part of the base filename that doesn't matter what it's called
As for the AVI, it seems like the email service isn't letting you upload/attach it. Just zip the file and attach the zip
How big is the file? That might be another reason it's not letting it be attached.
If it's really big you might want to look at using something Windows Media Encoder to make it a smaller WMV file or use DivX to compress it.
