Just like the title says. Mine is fixed at 1/60 shutter speed no matter what the aperature with SB800. Is there a way to change this value? Thanks.

aperature mode doesn't let you change shutter speed, the camera decides for you.

    just use manual mode

I just found out that you can't change the lowest shutter speed for D50 like you can in D70.

    from http://terrychay.com/blog/article/d50-or-d70.shtml
"Other small differences Rockwell noticed: No ability in the D50 to set the lowest shutter speed used with flash in P(rogram) and A(perture) modes (never used, not sure what the point is); "

If you want to have full control of both, you should just be using manual mode. If you want specific shutter control, obviously use shutter priority mode.

    In my mind
changing the shutter speed isnt going to do anything with flash anyway, unless you go past the sync, then it will just look like shit.
