I have all of my music/pics/vids and documents on my external hdd, is it possible to change the target of the music link in the sidebar so it directs me to my external hdd? I would also like to do same for documents and pics/vids but I guess it's the same steps so how do you do it
    thanks!
I added all my music to my itunes library(without copying everything in the itunes folder also changed the default itunes folder but I'm a noob and dunno where to look.

oh okay, was just looking for a way to do it no biggie, dunno why I didn't think of adding my external to the sidebar. Got the macbook today, first time mac user so I guess it's a bit normal to be lost :( but I'm enjoying this laptop so much it's great
and how do you put the trash on the desktop while leaving it in the dock?

hold down command and drag the airport icon in the menu bar, u can re-position it wherever...this goes for all the icons up there, like your battery, date, or volume controls, put them in whatever order you want.
