I just reformatted my laptop. I had my flash drive plugged in and it was the E: drive. Not realizing it, and needing something off my external, I plug that in. After plugging it in, it becomes the F: drive. Is there anyway I can change it so my external pops up as the E: drive instead of the F: drive.
    Let me know.

go into disk management and you can re-assign drive letters of anything that's not the system drive.

And just for further elaboration, reassign the flash drive first, some random letter, assign external to e, then flash drive to f.

I know it seems obvious, and I'm hoping it is, but I've seen people ask far simpler things.
