where can i change my hostname and the system icons? For example right now it displays an EightBall when i log in...which is a tad gay...

I figured the hostname config stuff would be in /etc .. but I'm not seeing anything :dunno:

In OS X, just go open the "System Preferences" utillity and click on the "Accounts" icon.

From there, Click on the account name you want to make changes on, then click the "Picture" button toward the top of the pane.

    :)

Changing icons like folder and apps and stuff is easy, Find icons you like, www.iconfactory.com is a good place.
    Get info on the icon.
CLick on the icon in the info window and copy it.
Get info on the file u want to change, and click that icon and paste the new one on top of it.

    Almost forgot...

To change the name of your machine, go to System Preferences and then Sharing prefs. Name should be at the top.
