Whenever a hard drive with xp goes into another system, you get a blue screen when you load.
Is there anyway around this blue screen without having to reformat?
I cant reinstall XP because xp setup wont run in DOS.
    What can i do?

hmm I'de try a few things.

See if you can boot up in safe mode then delete every single driver you can. When you boot back up Xp should install all the new mobo drivers needed.

If you can't boot up into safe mode then i'de put your old mobo back in (if it's not to late) and delete all the drivers that way. Once you have ALL THE DRIVERS deleted when you plug in the new mobo it'll be like a fresh start.

Be carefull though, since you've already plugged in the new mobo it very easily could have installed some drivers resulting in a very difficult time getting everything to work together.

You could always just back up your hd to some other location and then start with a fresh copy of xp. THat's what I would do personally.

You can try what Ludelover said, removing all the drivers if you can get into safe mode, and if not, try booting with the xp cd and running a repair.

You shouldn't have any problems reinstalling though.

yeah, you should be able to reinstall if you can boot from your cdrom. it is the rule of thumb to reinstall everything after a mobo swap anyway
