WEB Change time or set net time server in Fedora v.shellaccessonly

    How? :dunno:

    I need to set it to the eastern time zone and set the time via shell. I do have root access, but I just don't know the command, and google seems to be fairly useless, or only shows you how to do it within the gui.

    Regular Unix command says it takes, but in my appliance it still shows the wrong time.

    date -s "12/10/2007 12:34:00"

    Is what I'm using. Is there something specific to fedora that is breaking this?
