everytime i do cg bench it feels really awkward, appart from my wrists hurting like hell, when i push the weight back up, i have a feeling that i'm being pushed back on the banch, and my head almost goes off the bench at the end, like today i had to stop on my fourth rep because i had the feeling im gonna fall off the bench

Grip the bar more towards the bottom of your palm, bring it down toward your lower chest more and straight up and down.

Thats what I do too, but on the way up the travel of the bar moves farther up on my torso.

hows that going to help you? just puts more stress on the wrists. if you want that much isolation do some type of extension exercise

thats kind of what i do, i bring it down to lower chest, upper stomach and when i push it up i have a feeling that i'm pushing it not straight up but at an angle away from me and thats where it pushes me back on the bench

make sure your elbows are tight against your torso too. if they flare out to the side thats more pressure on the rist and youre using more chest.

yeah i got one of those as soon as the problem showed up, it hasn't helped. I'll try keeping my elbows tucked in more as suggested above
