I just installed a cd changer in my car, and now when i try to play a cd it says E33 on the car deck (which is a communication error). I checked both ends of the cable (one that plugs into the factory deck, and the other end into the changers end) and they both seem fine and secure. Anyone know anything else i can do? I was thinking that mabye the cable is too tight/compressed by the side on the car under the carpet beside the door, but if it recognizes the cd changer (showing a cd icon on my car radio) i dont think that should be the problem, anyone know anything on what to do ?

it could just "recognize" the CD player by having a completed circuit through the cable, which doesn't rule out the possibility that there might be a short in your cable you said you might have pinched the cable with the way you routed the wire, unbury the cable and inspect it, and then maybe rebury it some otherway (like under carpeting and run it straight back)
