The guy I went shooting with the other day uses this ammo out of his 9mm. The Academy sports around here sells it for $3.89 per box of 50. That's cheaper than the winchester white box... think it's also cheaper than the Wolf 9mm I've seen around here.

Has anyone heard anything bad about this ammunition? Just the aluminum cases strike me as odd. I mean, they're not reloadable but I don't reload yet. What are the downsides of this ammo besides it probably is pretty dirty.

FWIW I've shot lots of Blazer brass and aluminum thru my 1911 in .45 and it all seemed loaded to the hotter end of range ammo. I shot a box of Blazer Brass in my new HP and it felt weaker than the WWB I had with me. But it all wennt bang, myself I'd just get what's cheap.

I had a problem a few years ago with the blaser aluminum cased ammo.
I had a severe case seperation, and the bullet lodged in the barrel. When I got the weapon unjammed, out falls the case- in two halves. I thought maybe it was a hot load to blow the case in half, but that wouldn't explain the bullet getting stuck 3 inches down the barrel.

I haven't used aluminum cased ammo of any type since.

FWIW, Blaser did offer to repair the gun.

At least they offered to repair the gun.

Kind of makes me scared of the ammo but I'm sure most companies have a bad round slip out every once in awhile. Think of how many they have to make.

ive had problems with blazer aluminum cased shit:down: its required at the indoor ranges less smoke/toxic. i hate that shit, jams terribly and even in my .38 it would expand so much that it was hard to knock the cartridges out plus they charge $14.99 a box of 50 at the range what a rip:mad: i can pick up 250rnds of 9mm for $30 :squint: at sportsmans warehouse

I've never shot any CCI blazers, but winchester whitebox is fucking weak.

Remington UMC is the cheapest rounds I put through my pistols.

    A Mac 11/9.
I've still got the broken case, but, as I don't know where the charger for my camera is, I cannot post a pic.
