I can't bend forward too far or I print. So I wind up squatting a lot to pick stuff up off the ground or lower shelves in the store.
I had to squat to pull my mom's suitcase off the carousel at the airport on Friday.
I'm also paranoid about leaning into the grocery cart to extract items from the bottom at the checkout.
At drinking fountains I find myself putting my left arm behind my back to hold my shirt in place/conceal the butt of my pistol as I lean over.

How do y'all deal with these issues? :)

Aaah. I'm a lefty and it's about at 8:00-8:30. The butt tucks up under my ribcage nicely and the front sight is just a tad aft of 9:00.

I used to be really concerned with it, but not so much anymore. I have found that people really don't notice until you start fucking with it and acting weird

I've just started carrying too, so I'm kind of learning the same things.

Basically what I've decided that pretty much any amount of "printing" is going to be far less noticeable than whatever contortion I perfrom to hide it. Unless some one is staring a few inches above your belt-line at the exact moment you bend down, odds are nobody is going to notice the weird crease in your shirt for the 2 seconds your bending. On the other hand if you pull your arm into some unatural position and twist funny as you bend someone is a lot more likely to notice that something is out of the ordinary.

I agree. If you act like its not a big deal, most people follow that.
But if you act scared of embarrassed, people jump all over the opportunity and make a big deal of it.
    Suggestive psychology.

Yes I see. Well I'm kind of used to holding my hand behind my back at fountains anyway because frequently I hold a hat or glasses as I do it. I agree that a lot of people wouldn't notice the printing because I'm still in the process of training myself to look at people like that, so I assume most other people don't do it either.

That said, if I'm unloading the shopping cart at a register and repeatedly bending over to take stuff out of the cart, I'm going to be printing every 3 seconds about 20 times in a row, KWIM? Just makes me wonder if there's a better way.

Just unload turned away from the customers in line...the cashier is too busy scanning stuff to pay attention to you.

I've never noticed anyone around here with a concealed weapon. Either nobody does it, or they are all good at it.

I'm just jealous that you can carry at the airport without facing 20 years in the joint. :hs:

I squat to get down low. It's the proper, back-saving way of picking things up anyways. When taught how to lift objects, you always hear "bend at the knees, not at the waist". No good reason to restrict proper form to lifting heavy objects. It only feels weird for a while.

i dont worry about it. tennessee and georgia are open carry states so if i happen to bend over and my shirt comes up its no big deal. the tshirt i had on today is only waist length so the wind blowing will blow it over my gun. no big deal

I don't even think about it anymore. I could open carry if I wanted to anyway in MN.

Even when I have my IWB on and a shirt tucked in(so the weapon is exposed) people don't seem to notice it at all, or if they do they give no reaction to it... :dunno:

It sure is nice having that option, but I choose not to, for my own reasons... just don't want anyone knowing I'm carrying.
