CBR600F4 undertail project.

    Bought a decent priced undertail from ebay with LED rear lights. After hooking them up it was painfully obvious how cheap the LED cluster was and how dim it worked with the brake lights on.

    I got to work, and used these instead (I used the clear one) and remove the innards to work with an 1157 dual filament bulb:

    Very nice.

    It's really sad that eBay is now flooded with cheap items, the quality of shit for sale there is really down, especially with car parts

    i'd be interested in doing somethign like this on my F4 since my trunk lock is broken anyway...

    The trunk lock was an interesting challenge but I got it to work as well.

    I didn't want to lose any functionality. I don't think I even lost any trunk space to be exact.

    ... and another quick learning experience. I suspect those damn overpriced APC red 1157 bulbs I bought around the corner will fade quickly. They look like a layer of red inside.

    There are $3 bulbs that are actual red glass and not a coating. Ahh well. :)
