Wonder if he'll end up facing charges since he shot the guy in the back 6:36 a.m. May 9, 2007 Casino security guard gets robbed, shoots man SAN DIEGO – A security guard working for an El Cerrito casino shot and wounded a man who grabbed a game console out of his car early Wednesday morning. The guard was parked in front of the California Club/Lucky Lady cardroom on El Cajon Blvd near 54th Street just after 3:30 a.m. when he was approached by a man who had just pulled up in a car, said San Diego police Sgt. Kerry Tom. The man walked up to the guard's passenger-side window and asked for directions before leaning into the car and grabbing an electronic game device off the seat, Tom said. The guard told police he thought the man was trying to grab his gun so he shot at the man, who took off running. The guard chased him and fired another shot before the robber got back into the car, described as a black Toyota Camry, and drove off. The guard fired two more shots into the car, Tom said. About five to 10 minutes later a man with two gunshot wounds to the back and shoulder was dropped off at a hospital, Tom said. Witnesses were able to get a license plate of the car which police located about an hour later at Art Street and Seminole Drive in Rolando. Three men inside were arrested. Tom said they will be booked on robbery charges. The wounded man was later transfered to another hospital. His wounds were not considered to be life threatening, Tom said.
