Casino security guard gets robbed, shoots man
SAN DIEGO – A security guard working for an El Cerrito casino shot and wounded a man who grabbed a game console out of his car early Wednesday morning.

The guard was parked in front of the California Club/Lucky Lady cardroom on El Cajon Blvd near 54th Street just after 3:30 a.m. when he was approached by a man who had just pulled up in a car, said San Diego police Sgt. Kerry Tom.

The man walked up to the guard's passenger-side window and asked for directions before leaning into the car and grabbing an electronic game device off the seat, Tom said.

The guard told police he thought the man was trying to grab his gun so he shot at the man, who took off running.

The guard chased him and fired another shot before the robber got back into the car, described as a black Toyota Camry, and drove off. The guard fired two more shots into the car, Tom said.

About five to 10 minutes later a man with two gunshot wounds to the back and shoulder was dropped off at a hospital, Tom said.

Witnesses were able to get a license plate of the car which police located about an hour later at Art Street and Seminole Drive in Rolando.

Three men inside were arrested. Tom said they will be booked on robbery charges.

The wounded man was later transfered to another hospital. His wounds were not considered to be life threatening, Tom said.

I'd say he'd be fucked in a lot of places. Running down someone and shooting into a moving vehicle doesn't fit the definition of self defense. It sucks for the guy, but that's life.

It would be really hard not to shoot someone pulling that shit, but, just the same, he's fucked.

What sucks is that the guard was just minding his own business and was put into that situation. Had the dipshit not tried to rob him he wouldn't have been shot.

Who knows what I'd do. If someone robbed me and I chased them down and shot them,.. then I would be considered a "willing participant" and I'd get fucked (by MN laws). Now, if he reached in for my gun and I shot him once or twice than I'm sure I'd be fine.

Now, let's say he chased the guy down, they got into a fight, and the robbers 3 buddies got out of the car it would be a bad situation. Then you're a willing participant who could get his ass kicked. You'd literally have to wait until they are beating on you before you could draw and fire.

This dude made a mistake shooting him when he was running and then blasting into the vehicle.

I think they're the only casinos allowed in Ca. but not 100% sure.

Not all CA casinos are indian-owned. This one might be though.

If it's on a reservation does the reservation police get to decide if hes charged or not?

The Casino is technically a card room, and has been grandfathered in, becuase it was there for pretty much forever. El Cajon Blvrd is full of broke as n*ggers, trust me I live with them, and their welfare checks and food stamps. The glory of being a student at SDSU!
