From Audi Owner News, June 2003
Audis just don't strike me as having enough panache for the royals like say a Bentley, Rolls Royce, or Jaguar would.
id think hed use the audis for private driving and not for his royal duties, eh?
Well, what can I say. My future King does actually have some taste in him If Buckingham Palace could get him to stop talking to plants and flowers I might be able to take him seriously.
But I'm not overly suprised he chose Audi, seen as I think both Princes William and Harry use Volkswagen Golfs as their personal cars. I suppose the Royal Family just can't get away from its German roots
Apparently you've never experienced the new A8.
I'd take an A8L. Old or new, its beautiful.
as nice as an A8 is, for representational purposes it cant beat a rolls, a bentley or a maybach. the only mass market luxury to actually compete with them in terms of image would be a merc S-class.
Possibly true, however he didn't get the Audis for "representational purposes," he got them for "personal use." An Audi is more fun to drive than Rolls, Bentley, or Maybach.
^^ see my earlier post, penguin. thats what i assumed, too. however, my second post in this thread was a reply to Dr.Woo's post about an A8 havin as much panache as a rolls/bentley.
Ah, I see. <-- me
Yes, but no new A8L for Europe.
Well I'm not in europe so hah.
