carry a full clip? More rounds means heavier carry, just wondering if yall carry fully loaded or just partially.

*sorry if this is a dumb question...just curious LOL

hell yea. 3 or 4 more rounds isn't gonna add any noticable weight to it. at least not enough to make it worth not carrying them.

Definately, but I don't think its a bad practice to carry a 2nd full mag either.

Taurus gets a full mag (12) and one in the chamber.. I bought it because it was a good size with a nice capacity, and it fit me well.. why not load it out?

Why nothing in the chamber? You may very well need the second it takes to rack the slide..

It's how I was brought up. It makes me nervous to keep one chambered because my whole life, that was against the rules. I know I should get over it though.

I carry my 1911 cocked and locked, then I met a guy at the range that carried empty barrel and hammer down. He drew the gun and racked the slide before it came up to fire and was dead on (milliseconds). He was a vet and said that's how they were trianed to carry. Absolutly no way to have an AD if the gun falls that way at least.

When I start carrying I'll be training myself to rack the slide as I draw. It just feels weird to me carrying a loaded gun around inside my pants. Maybe after I get more comfortable with it I'll start carrying it locked and loaded.

He now has a small blunt object. I can see how carrying unchambered could put you in a bad situation, espically in a struggle or hand is hurt.

    so you draw ambidextrously?
why not just carry a baton or a large flashlight, then? why bother with a gun?

First thing they teach you in handgun training is how to use the weapon, as a weapon while preparing it for further use..

I went to the original school of Israeli draw
