Is there much practical use for it?

Like day to day muggings, etc. I imagine you wont be quick enough to get to it.

I imagine if a civil war starts it is handy.

Or if someone is hassling you and it is escalating very very slowly you can pop your boot to pretend to get something out.

I'm going to have to second this, a bad post or two is one thing, but a constant stream of bad threads that he will never use the knowledge from is another.

Even if you did have time to get to it, not likely, you'd probably be charged with whatever your country's equivalent to first degree murder is. Just realize that you live in a country that doesn't trust it's own citizens and go on with your life hoping you never have to encounter a dangerous situation or move.

I don't think that's a good idea... If you ever used it, it means you had the opportunity to open your trunk and get the shotty.... Well, fight-or-flight.... In order to be justified in using a firearm for self defense, you should basically have been left with no other reasonable option than to shoot. If you could open the trunk and get the shotty, it stands to reason you could have removed yourself from the situation, methinks.

.. and yes, my P3AT primarily rides on either my boot or my chest. Unfortunately, neither of those places were the point of this thread. :o
