Why do some people have a "carry rotation"?

Wouldn't it make more sense to carry only one gun which is the one you train with the most?

I plan on only carrying my Glock 26... If I ever switch, then it'll be to get a Glock 19 and then it'll be the only thing I carry.

I have every intention to carry my Sig 229 DAK, but I still want a Glock 26 as well, but it would be pointless to buy one if i'm not going to carry it and I don't want to get in the habit of having a rotation, I want to carry what I practice with the most.

Not to sound like the abercrombiefag of WMD, but wardrobe would play a part in it. I know its not exactly what you are referring to but still, AZ summers are always shorts, t shirt and flops. I'm too small to not print with anything that has a barrel 4 inches+.

I have a rotation as well. My main carry if clothing allows is a Gov't model 1911. At school and other "deep concealment" places I have a Keltec P32 strong side pocket. I also occationally carry a Makarov IWB, as I can conceal that easily under a teeshirt.

Yeah, I'm the same way, when it's hot I can carry my Kel Tec (.380) and it is totally invisible. When I wear a jacket though I prefer to carry my Ultra Carry II for the extra confidence it what it can do.

I'm not one for carry rotation but at the same time I do kinda feel bad that my USPc just sits at the house for the most part. When I shoot I shoot them all equally though so the practice isn't really a factor for me. And they all pretty much shoot where I tell them to....

Some people have alot of guns... they don't want thier guns to feel unloved!

PS: I always carry the 26. The 19 is a range only gun because, quite frankly I don't like cleaning a gun everytime I shoot, but I would prefer to carry a clean weapon. Now I only clean the 19 when it gets too heavy.

Why? Oregon state law says that carrying on College Campus's is legal with a CHL.

Was it state or federal that made schools a gun-free zone?

I've heard some states the principal or dean of a school can give you permission to carry on the campus.

It's all up to the state if it's schools. Only federal rules are regarding federal buildings like Airports or post offices.
Nevada allows CCW on any school if you get the Superintendant's/Dean's permission first.

Nope, it's strictly a state thing. Here in Oregon there is specific language in the the Oregon Revised Statues, that CHL holders are excempt from any laws limiting their carry on school property. Be that college, HS, Middle, Elementary.

It's our state college system that has "illegal" rules limiting carrying on campus. Oregon Firearms Federation tried to challenge the school system on it's "rule" but the state supreme? court wouldn't hear the case as no one had been harmed by the law. The case did make a few CC's here rewrite their rules allowing carry on campus w/ a CHL.
