Recently my carpal tunnel has been acting up, making it difficult to do weight lifting with my hands. Anyone have some good rehabilitative training for carpal tunnel probs?

for some reason, every time I do barbell curls, it feels like the tendons in my forearm are coming apart. Is this carpal tunnel?

See a doctor or physical therapist rather than asking a bunch of morons on the internet?

Wear a brace at night, and if it's bad enough, during the day, too. Take it off for training and use good form when working out. :dunno: Helps when mine gets bad.

if it is indeed carpal tunnel... lifting weights only tends to worsen any RSI injury becuase muscle movement and stress only irritates your nerves more. Anytype of strengthening generally worsens it.

First figure out how you got carpal tunnel. Then lessen/avoid or improve the way you do that activity... whether its using computer/mouse or something else. Braces are not recommended, they have been shown to counterproductive to most people. But you can wear one when sleeping and see if it helps you in a few days or not.

A book "conquering carpal tunnel syndrome" by sharon butler guides you in stretches. The earlier this is stopped and reversed the better for you.

good luck. A google search can also help.
