how is the job market for this type of career like? how much are you expected to make.
do sports photographers have contracts with certain newspapers and magazines? or do they sell them to whoever?
I started out my career as a studio photographer/cinematographer working for a company that made training films/slides for pilots. I was also a newspaper photographer for a few years before going into television production.
The pay wasn't bad, but I wasn't going to get rich either. The guys who own their own studios can make a pretty decent living but the competition for business is always present and getting new clients takes a lot of the photographers time.
The main reason to get into photography as a career is because you love it. I've never regretted my decision.
