    I hate to do cardio with a passion. But I understand it’s a necessary evil. Now because I hate it, its very hard for me to do 30, 40 minutes at the time. So my question is as follows;

    How contra producing would it be if I did this?

    Instead of doing all the cardio at once. Use the two minutes in between weight lifting sets to jump on the treadmill.

    do your cardio after you lift.

    It's a bad idea... the whole point of time between sets is to rest/recover.

    Right. But the problem is that I cant sit there for 30 to 40 minutes at the time. I just cant stand it. So Im trying to sneak it in while resting from the weigths.

    I just want to know if Im basically wasting my time by doing that.

    Your first post was using the Times New Roman font for some reason, which is hard to read on a monitor.

    The problem with that is your heart rate will not be at its proper level when you are only doing your cardio 2-3 minutes at a time. I have seen people at the gym use a jumprope in between sets. You could also run outside instead of at the gym. Usually I find a magazine to read when i'm on the treadmill. It is hard to read however when I am running.

    I've been working on the advice of not doing cardio on the sames days I lift since the energy spent on cardio takes away from what I can do lifting and vice versa.

    I could probably do that fairly easy. Is that as effective as doing 30 mins at the time?

    Do a 10 minute warmup at the beginning of the workout. Then do your workout, and finish up with 15-20 minutes afterwards. The win.

    FYI, I;ve been able to do 20 mins at the time the last few days. My new W600 makes time go by a lot faster.

    You don't *have* to do cardio. You merely need to learn how to tighten up your diet (assuming you're talking about physique goals here).

    If it's that boring for you, use the recumbent bike and read a magazine. Is it optimal? No. Is it easier to eat and still lose weight if you're moving at least a little bit for a while? Definitely.

    Do sprints, intervals, complexes, circuit training, bodyweight GPP, weighted GPP....incorporating various forms of exercise is awesome for losing fat. Here's an example that was posted on EFS
