New relationship, gained some bf :( 1-2% i'm guessing. If i keep my p30/c40/f30 diet and just do low impact cardio for an hour a day, any ideas on if i'd retain any muscle?

You're saying you can't find 45m to lift a day and you want to retain muscle?

I agree with this, although I think you've got other issues if you can't find 1 hour a day to go and lift

Just do 30-60 seconds breaks between sets and you will be sweating like you're doing cardio.

Cardio burns calories while you're doing it, lifting burns calories all day!

while i would love to do this, i don't get what i feel is a good workout in 35 minutes since i'm going at lunch, 15 to get there 15 to get back, 30-35 on the floor, 10 to shower and change.

with work, studying, and gf it's hard to squeeze another hour out of the day.

can't drop gf, i've really come to like her :hs:

It doesn't matter what you FEEL is a good workout, science states exercise burns more calories and adds muscle, which burns more calories in the long run. Blast whatever body part you're working out for 30minutes, 45seconds between sets, and if you don't feel like you're going to die you're doing something wrong.

Plus you'll look better for your girlfriend. It's win-win.

funny i think im picking up bf%, but mainly i think the issue is my body goes into fat storage starvation mode.... ahh might as well be, when i finish the marathon and cut down on running, i hope i will ahve an effect on my body that i will go out of fat storage mode and everything will burn off naturally and with less effort because i will be trying to rebuild the fast twitch muscle fibers
