Whenever I do fat burn, i feel like i might as well not be on it. Cardio gets my heart rate going and all that. The basic question is, for fat burning, should I even bother with 'fat burn'? I figure high intensity is always better, but any help is appreciated. p.s.- i'm in good shape, just trying to lose fat % for definition. i'm probably at about 10 right now.

On the machines there are "fat burn" programs which are lighter intensity workouts. "Scientifically" you body burns a high percentage of fat at low intensities. "cardio" programs are a higher intensity but you burn a lower percentage of bodyfat. It is ALWAYS better to use the higher intensity programs because even though you're burning a lower percentage of body fat it is at a much higher volume. You will burn more fat at higher intensities.

Don't listen to the machine and just push yourself. The programs are there to keep them machine from being boring and to make things simple for people that don't have a clue.

I use manual or cardio. Doesnt really matter as long as you can increase your endurance, and in the long term burn lots of fat.
