cardio after lifting = burning more fat?

    as opposed to no cardio at all, cardio on a different day/time than lifting, or cardio before lifting?

    According to mens health it does bc glycogen stores are already depleted and the heart rate is elevated.

    Yup just read muscle and fitness, the had like a 4 or 5 page special. They said best time to do cardio is in the morning or right after workout.

    There's also a greater amount of free fatty acid in the blood because of both the lower glycogen stores and the release of noradrenaline during the lifting session.

    people worry too much about minor details. if ur wanting to lean up, you should be worrying more about ur diet than when ur doing ur cardio

    i'm kinda in a shitty position where i'm skinny fat. 183-187ish supposedly around 16% BF, but i think its higher than that. my numbers aren't going up so i know i'm not eating enough, but i'm wanting to lose my belly/chest fat, thats where there seems to be the most currently :sad2: So i'm trying to cut i guess.

    If you're going to do cardio, IMO the best times would be after a workout or in the morning right after waking up while on an empty stomach. However, when cutting and doing cardio after a workout, I like to get a no-carb protein shake in immediately after lifting and before the cardio. I believe this helps feed the muscle and aids in the preventing of burning of muscles by the body during an intense cardio session after lifting.

    tweak ur ratios, assess progress after 2 weeks, repeat. unless u can dedicate 4hrs/day of cardio like pro BBers, ur diet is going to be limiting toward getting leaner

    Same here. I'll just jump on the exercise bike or something random, depending on my mood, and do it for 10-15 minutes.

    That's just the way the world works. I tell friends shit all the time about fitness, nutrition, lifting, etc... and in goes in one ear and out the other. Then they read about it in MH, MF, or hear it from some skinny-fat personal trainer and all the sudden the advice is golden. :rolleyes:
